Matt Hannan has been working in the travel industry since 1988 and has led numerous private and executive jet programs around the world with companies such as Abercrombie & Kent and Andrew Harper Travel. Past clients include major news, airline, banking, oil and financial corporations.

Matt was born in 1962 in Washington DC and graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He began Chinese language and calligraphy classes at the age of nine and studied at Nankai University in Tianjin, China. In 1983 Matt boarded the Trans-Siberian Railway crossing through China, Mongolia, the Soviet Union and Europe, sparking his passion for international travel.  

Matt's love of travel is matched only by his love of the arts, and in his spare time he is involved in historic home and garden renovation. He is an active landscape designer as well, and his projects have been featured in the The New York Times, The Washington Post and on HGTV and Oprah.
